Privacy

Feather has no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

On your device

The app stores your public account key, signer app name, your media-cache size preference, and bounded caches of public events and media. Feather does not import or store your private Nostr key. Login uses the Android signer you choose. Feather requests your public identity without signing or encryption permissions. Android backup is disabled for app data.

On Nostr

Automatically selected seed relays and relays discovered from public NIP-65 relay lists receive your IP address and the requests needed to load notes, profiles, and follows. Feather does not publish notes, replies, or follow lists. Relay connections pause when Feather is backgrounded.

Media

Profile pictures and inline images load automatically from their hosts. Visible videos autoplay muted. Those hosts receive your IP address and the requested media URL. Media is cached on your device within the storage budget you choose in settings; Android may reclaim cached files. No Feather media proxy is used. Saving an image writes a copy to your Pictures collection; sharing creates a temporary local copy and grants the receiving app access. Android 8–9 asks for storage permission only when saving. Playback and media requests stop in the background.

Links open in your browser or another installed app. Those services have their own privacy policies.

This website

This static website is hosted on Vercel. It does not add cookies or analytics. Vercel processes requests and may retain infrastructure logs under its own privacy policy.
